Newcomers moving from a county within Georgia need to file an address correction. Out-of-state newcomers have 30 days after establishing residency to purchase a new tag. New residents to Georgia must have the following documents in order to register a vehicle:

2. Proof of Insurance

3. Current Mileage

4. Proof of Non-residency
4. Proof of Non-residency
5. Picture Identification

6. Out of State Title
6. Loan Agreement with name and address of lien holder
7. Current Registration
7. T-17 affidavit of Lien holder (available at tag office)
